
Mutton & Lentil Pulao for Dogs

A flavorful, protein-packed meal with mutton and lentils, perfect for your dog’s energy and muscle health.
Ingredients:

500g boneless mutton (goat meat) (cut into small pieces)

1 cup toor dal (pigeon peas) or masoor dal (red lentils) (washed and soaked)

1 cup basmati rice (washed)

1 small carrot (grated)
-
1 small sweet potato (peeled and chopped into small cubes)

1 tbsp coconut oil or ghee
-
1 pinch turmeric (optional)

4 cups water
Instructions:

In a large pot, boil the mutton pieces with 4 cups of water for about 30-40 minutes, until the meat is tender and fully cooked.

Add the soaked dal and sweet potato cubes to the pot, cooking for another 10–15 minutes, until the dal and sweet potatoes are soft.

Stir in the rice, grated carrot, and turmeric (if using). Add more water if needed. Let the mixture cook for another 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is soft and fully cooked.

Stir in coconut oil or ghee and mix everything well.

Once cooked, let it cool completely before serving.

Serve in a bowl and store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
